It is not by chance nor by fate that you have visited our website.Fatalism is not our belief.
Here is a brief history of how our meeting was started: The good Lord burdened a group of us with starting a new Arabic Christian Ministry in Brampton, Ontario - Canada.
In September 2007 we started meeting on a bi-weekly basis, alternating in homes of the brethren, and we were praying for direction from the Lord on how to proceed. The number of brethren attending the meeting kept growing and we had to move out of homes and into a bigger and more spacious meeting area. The good Lord directed us towards a place to worship. Bramalea Baptist Church welcomed us and opened their doors for us. We had to come up with a name for the meeting. A vote was casted and the Church of Hope was the chosen name. We as a church have one overarching goal and that is to glorify God in everything we do and to enjoy Him forever. We have two main ministries external and internal.
External is to share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with the unsaved world. Internal is to edify the Christians and worship the Almighty God together.
If we can be of any help to you in any way please call us and leave us a message and one of the brethren will get in touch with you. Better yet if you are in the neighborhood why don’t you come and join our worship to the Lord and savior Jesus Christ?
NOTE: In case you were wondering why we chose this name? Amal Sebali was a partner in the ministry and she was the one to suggest the name. Amal was battling with cancer then, and throughout her battle she never failed to hope in the mercies of our good Lord. We as a young church had many questions and non-granted prayers, but if you have asked Amal then she would have responded by saying “Our God is a good God”. Not one day have we heard her revolt against God but rather she submitted to His sovereign will. Tuesday August 26th 2008 our beloved sister went to be with the Lord. Saturday August 30, 2008 we had a Memorial Service where we celebrated her life. It was a celebration worthy of a queen, a queen indeed. We have no doubt in our minds that our almighty God was glorified and honored. Amal insisted on glorifying God in her life and her passing. Her final wish was granted.
"For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations"
